MONTGOMERY, Ala. – When Mayor Bobby Bright declared July 10th as Baseball Day here, MAX Your Community Credit Union!, stepped up to “home plate” to lend the city a hand in celebrating by sponsoring the 34th Southern League All-Star Game at Riverwalk Stadium. The Southern League All-Star Game is a showcase for AA baseball’s brightest young stars. According to Mayor Bright baseball has been an “important part of the rich history of Montgomery” and that “it continues to provide a valuable source of entertainment for the citizens of our great city.” Baseball Day will also include the All-Star Homerun Derby sponsored by Alfa Insurance, starring the Southern League’s best homerun hitters and the ultimate All-Star Fan Fest hosted by Baptist Health.
