EDEN PRARIE, Minn. – With Chayna Nelson recently earning her LEED accreditation, design/build firm HTG Architects will now be able to further its "green" designs. The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design program, developed by the United States Green Building Council, outlines standards for and awards certification to green buildings. Nelson, now a LEED accredited professional, will develop additional green standards for the firm and assist in the LEED certification process for future HTG projects. HTG Architects is currently working on two buildings to be LEED certified. The firm has practiced the basics of "green architecture" throughout its history and plans to work with additional clients to design sustainable, efficient and economical buildings throughout the Midwest and Southwest.
