HARAHAN, La. – The Louisiana Credit Union League has awarded three Louisiana credit union professionals scholarships to the Southeast CUNA Management School in Athens, Ga.

Dena Landry, vice president of operations for Lafayette Schools' Federal Credit, has been awarded the 2006 Edgar L. Fontaine Memorial Scholarship, which was named in memory of the late Edgar L. Fontaine, who served as president of the league from 1947-1989. Landry will receive full tuition for the first year and 50% tuition for the second and third years.

Debbie Kidder, senior vice president for University of Louisiana Federal Credit Union, and Monica Declouet, operations manager for University of Louisiana Federal Credit Union, have each been awarded the 2005 SRCUS Management School Scholarship. This scholarship will pay tuition for one year.

Established in 1971, the Southeast CUNA Management School is the most comprehensive, college-level training opportunity available for southeastern credit unions. Students take a series of courses during each eight-day session for three consecutive years. Each session provides an opportunity for students to master a challenging curriculum, to participate in hands-on projects and exchange ideas with fellow attendees.
