SPOKANE, Wash. – Spokane Teachers Credit Union plans to accommodate the thousands of members who live in the North Idaho area. STCU will build its 10th branch and the credit union's first in Idaho on a 57,200-square-foot parcel in Post Falls. The branch is expected to have 15 employees. According to President/CEO Steve Dahlstrom, part of the $822 million credit union's strategy aims to provide North Idaho residents with comprehensive financial service. “As we continue to grow, our strategy focuses on what our members want and need.” Dahlstrom said. Most of the members in North Idaho access their accounts at two of STCU's branches, online or through other credit unions that offer shared branching services, the credit union said. Chartered in 1934 to serve teachers, STCU has since expanded its field of membership to anyone living in Washington and in Bonner and Kootenai counties in Idaho. STCU serves more than 70,000 members.
