WASHINGTON-The FDIC recently announced the promotion of Gale Simons-Poole. Simons-Poole will serve as the FDIC's new deputy regional director (risk management) of the Division of Supervision and Consumer Protection's Atlanta Region. She began in her new post April 30. A 20-year veteran of the agency, Simons-Poole is currently serving as assistant regional director in Atlanta, covering Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia. The region's risk management program will be her responsibility. She previously served as acting deputy regional director in both the New York and Atlanta Regions. Simons-Poole joined the FDIC in 1986, as a liquidation assistant.
