EVERGREEN PARK, Ill. – South Division Credit Union participated in the Southside Irish Parade by creating a float that promoted financial education for children and teens. Images of lucky shamrocks blended with messages about South Division Credit Union’s WannaBee Kid’s Club and its “Neo Generation” Student’s First program, which was recently introduced to speak to high school and college-aged youth about the realities of financial fitness, and to encourage them to utilize emerging technologies to manage their financial future. “As a Member-Owned financial institution, South Division CU is always looking for ways to be more involved and in tune with our community,” said President/CEO Geri Burek. “That’s why we wouldn’t miss the Southside Irish Parade, and it’s also why we created the Neo Generation Student’s First program aimed at high school and college students looking to build a solid foundation for a bright financial future.” Along with having financial education programs for area youth, SDCU also sponsors the Brother Rice H.S./Mother McAuley H.S. marching band.
