LAFAYETTE, Calif. – Neon Software, Inc. has announced the availability of LANsurveyor version 9.5 for Windows. It is designed for network administrators to safeguard and monitor their networks by incorporating network documentation, asset management, network monitoring, and vulnerability management capabilities. According to Neon, LANsurveyor 9.5 includes better network diagrams, new discovery methods, improved Microsoft Office Visio exports, support for Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer 2.0, and new Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Desktop Engine support. It’s already in use at TLC FCU in Tillimook, Oregon. “Neon’s new release improves upon LANsurveyor’s already accurate mapping, and the information LANsurveyor provides is invaluable for our network security,” said Eric Lessor, network administrator, TLC FCU. “LANsurveyor 9.5 is the best program I’ve found to document and help secure my network. It paid for itself the first time it automatically drew a complete network diagram.”
