TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Credit Union 24, the credit union-owned ATM network headquartered in Florida, processed almost 18 million ATM and EFT transactions in December 2005, a record for a single month and 23% over the number of transactions the network processed in December 2004. "Credit Union 24′s consistent transaction growth stems from the network's efforts not only to attract more credit unions and cardholders, but also to broaden our credit unions' ATM and POS access," said Credit Union 24 CEO Jim Park. "As we add more surcharge-free ATM locations and more POS acceptance to the network, the value of the network flourishes-and that leads to the record numbers we've been experiencing." The network claims access to hundreds of thousands of point of sale terminals and 95,000 ATMs across the country, 12,000 of which belong to its CU HERE surcharge-free program.
