PORT HURON, Mich. – E&A Credit Union has broken ground on a new 33,900 square-foot headquarters. “It has been the dream of our credit union to be able to grow with our membership in order to provide them with more services and conveniences for their daily financial life,” said E&A Credit Union President/CEO Janice Rose. “This building will help us accomplish that mission.” Rose added that the facility will go a long way toward the rejuvenation of downtown Port Huron's economy by creating new positions and awarding construction bids to local tradesmen. Tapping Anchorville, Michigan-based design/build firm Thompson-Phelan for the project, the new headquarters will house administrative personnel; a state-of-the-art, full service lobby and drive-through teller stations, as well as a large community room on the lower level. The project is expected to be completed in the fall of 2006.
