NEW YORK – As credit unions’ options for ATM and branching services steadily expand, the burden of keeping their members informed about branch and ATM locations has expanded as well. Now a start-up company has struck upon a service credit unions can use to help keep their members informed about where their ATMs and shared branches are anywhere in the nation. The aggregation service is called LocatorSearch, and it currently has between 20 and 30 client credit unions whose members can visit one page on their CU’s Web site and, after sharing as little as a zip code, receive a directory of all the available ATM and branches in their areas. The directory will also include information as to whether or not the ATMs take deposits, the ATM network to which the machine belongs, the name or the credit union and services available there.
