LENEXA, Kan. – Dan Kampen resigned from U.S. Central on Aug. 3. Kampen, who led the corporates’ corporate since 1997, made it longer than most U.S. Central CEOs. The job averages about a seven-year tenure. Details around Kampen’s departure are hazy, but some say he was forced out due to some ACH problems at U.S. Central and difficulties with moving U.S. Central off of an EDS system and on to Symitar. Kampen will probably best be known for leading a restructuring of the U.S. Central Board. It now is very equally divided among CEOs of varying sizes of corporates, which many corporate leaders credit as a great way to give all sizes of corporates a voice in U.S. Central’s future.
