MADISON, Wis.-CUNA now has available the latest version of its book on the history of credit unions. People, Not Profit: The Story of the Credit Union Movement is in its fourth edition. The book highlights crucial points in the development of credit unions within the U.S. It spans from the earliest days to the passage of the Credit Union Membership Access Act and the continuing struggles credit unions are facing. According to CUNA, the book-priced at $24.99-can be used to instill commitment in employees and volunteer orientation and training, marketing the credit union difference, improving member awareness, and serving as a basis for community activities and information campaigns.
