SAN DIEGO -This holiday season staffers at Cabrillo Credit Union and its partners Carlsbad City CU and Sharp CU are all about giving. Rather than kicking up their heels at an annual holiday party, staffers donated the $5,000 earmarked for the event to Habitat for Humanity to support hurricane relief efforts. “The idea to donate the money traditionally spent to host our annual holiday party to Habitat for Humanity came from one of our employees,” said CEO Robin Lentz. “I am so pleased that I have employees who would give up their annual party to help others.” In addition, Cabrillo Partners Credit Unions' six branches asked members to donate to the American Red Cross throughout the months of September and October -raising over $5,400.
