COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – It was "Lights, Camera, Savings" to kick off the Air Academy Federal Credit Union (AAFCU) grand re-opening of its Elbert High School branch. Playing up the celebration theme the event included popcorn, movie gift cards, and prize drawings with every transaction and new account opened. AAFCU has partnered with Elbert High School to bring this unique concept of financial education into the school to serve students, staff and the community of Elbert more conveniently, and to teach students about financial management and marketing of the branch. The credit union has several years of experience with this program in various area high schools. Future plans to serve the area include a new full service branch opening in Elizabeth in January 2006.
