VALLEY FORGE, Pa. – Security and efficiency enhancements are featured in the new release of USERS Inc.'s flagship DataSafe core processing system, the Fiserv unit says. The upgrade includes software to help credit unions easily comply with account-opening identification requirements of the PATRIOT Act, deploy secure messaging as an alternative to e-mail for communicating with members, and issue ATM, debit and credit cards on the spot. The upgrade also includes enhancements to the core processor's Internet suite, browser-based teller and lending software and its courtesy pay offering, the company says. USERS Inc. (www.users.com) serves more than 325 credit unions.
