ALEXANDRIA, Va.-Debbie Matz, who recently left the NCUA Board to pursue a new career in the private sector, told Credit Union Times that she would prefer to remain within the credit union community. Though she has not taken any offers at this point, Matz said she does “have a few things percolating.” She added that she has “cast a wide net” for her next career move after 26 years in the federal government, but said credit unions are her preference. “I want to stay in credit unions,” Matz stated. “I think I can make a positive contribution.” She also said she was “optimistic” for the new NCUA Board and called Rodney E. Hood and Gigi Hyland “good candidates.”
