ROCHESTER, N.Y. – On the agenda for the recent Rochester Women's Network Businesswoman's Conference were topics on everything from the city's economy to innovative ways to grow a business. On Nov. 1, the Rochester Women's Network held its 10th annual Businesswomen Conference, which was co-sponsored by $2.8 billion ESL FCU, $388 million The Summit FCU and 12 others. Jennifer Brattain, a branch analyst manager for ESL FCU, attended a seminar on Rochester's economic forecast hoping to learn how its members are coping in the current environment. Brattain joined more than 450 people who attend then 10th annual meeting sponsored by the Network, which has 600 members. The conference included seminars on Internet strategies for growing a business; marketing on a shoestring budget; networking; and using the media. Sachi Koto, a former CNN anchor, who now owns a public relations firm, gave a presentation on using the media to help businesses get noticed.
