SEATTLE – The $6 million Middlesex Healthcare FCU has become the latest credit union to choose Pemco Technologies, the former PEMCO Technology Services, for card processing and ATM services. The CU, based in Middletown, Connecticut, will use PEMCO for Visa debit and ATM issuing as well. Rosalind Carta, CEO of the credit union, said, “I know that Pemco and Middlesex Healthcare will be a great team, and I look forward to an increase in membership with this program.” Middlesex Healthcare Federal Credit Union was founded more than 30 years ago. It offers its services to employees of any business organization in Middlesex County. PEMCO Technologies adopted the shorter name and a new logo in order to cultivate a more streamlined and accurate image. “`PEMCO Technology Services, Inc.’ was quite a mouthful,” explained Dan Green, spokesman for the card processor. “PEMCO was originally an acronym, but no longer used that way, so we’re moving to lower case Pemco and simply “Technologies.” The new name and logo are more crisp, clean, and elegant.”
