BETHESDA, Md. – As expected, the New Jersey Credit Union League has signed a deal with the Allpoint network which will provide New Jersey CUs with the opportunity to offer their members surcharge-free ATM access to over 32,000 ATMs across the country. Allpoint grants participating credit union members surcharge free access but charges the participating credit unions a flat fee based on the size of their card base. Participating credit unions do not have to have their own ATMs or make their own ATMs surcharge free. “This partnership is a testament to the tremendous value state leagues continually provide their member credit unions,” said Ben Psillas, President of Allpoint Network. “Allpoint is proud to provide League members with over 900 surcharge-free ATMs in New Jersey and the ability to compete more effectively with larger banks such as Bank of America, Wachovia, and Commerce Bank.” The New Jersey league joined the Mid-Atlantic Regional Services Corporation, a membership it had once eschewed, in order to take advantage of the pricing that Allpoint offered MARS member leagues.
