Editor-in-Chief Paul Gentile delivered a great first column in the Oct. 12 issue. He is certainly off and running. The transition and tribute to former publisher Mike Welch was special. I have known Mike since 1965. He was at CUNA as the PR Director and I was in Madison as the Wisconsin Credit Union League Representative. When I became President of the University of Wisconsin Credit Union in 1966, CUES became most important in my professional development. I served on the CUES Board for many years and developed a great friendship with Mike. Gentile definitely captured the “real Mike” in his column. Thank you! Best wishes for continued success.
