MURRIETA, Calif. – A new consulting firm created by old friends from Symitar has added another veteran staffer from the core processor. Ray Pennisi, most recently a senior project manager involved with Episys product design, has been named a senior consultant with CUTEK. Pennisi has more than 15 years of Symitar and credit union experience and will focus on conversions, operational efficiency, project management, design analysis and contract programming for Symitar’s Power-On report generator solution, according to Mark Borja, CUTEK’s vice president of operations and consulting manager. Borja is one of four Symitar specialists who recently left eCU Technologies to form CUTEK (www.cutek.net.) “I know these guys. We worked together at Symitar in the same department for a long time,” Pennisi says. “I like them; I trust them; and I believe in them. At CUTEK, you can’t find a higher level of Symitar expertise anywhere in the industry.” Pennisi had been with Symitar since 1992. “His experience and knowledge of the Symitar system and its products rivals that of just about anybody in the industry,” Borja says. “We look forward to leveraging his technological expertise on a daily basis for the benefit of our credit union clients.” Supporting credit unions running Symitar platforms has become a bit of a cottage industry, with consulting competitors now including CUTEK, eCU Technologies, Wescom Resources Group and others.
