ANAHEIM, Calif. – CU Direct CEO Tony Boutelle announced that auto dealers polled by an auto industry publication recently recognized his organization. Boutelle was speaking as a panelist during the California Nevada Credit Union League CU Leadership Summit. According to Boutelle, Auto Dealer Monthly magazine surveyed 32,000 car dealers and F&I Managers and asked them which lenders were the most important to them. CU Direct showed up fifth on the list, following JP Morgan Chase, Citizens Bank, Fifth Third Bank and Wells Fargo Bank, respectively. “It’s great that they recognized us like that, but first we have to tell them we’re not a lender,” Boutelle said, drawing laughs from the audience.
