SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The Golden 1 Credit Union has recently appointed Sacramento Assistant City Manager Cassandra H.B. Jennings board director. “Ms. Jennings brings us a valuable perspective on community issues,” said The Golden 1 CU President/CEO Teresa Halleck. “She is extremely accomplished, and we welcome her contributions to the board. As a community leader and advocate, she will add another strong voice on behalf of our members.” In her position with the City of Sacramento, Jennings oversees the finance, information technology, human resources and general services departments. Formerly with the Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency for 18 years she ultimately served as deputy executive director. Currently Jennings is the chairperson of the American Leadership Forum and Florin Road Foundation Boards and vice president of the Sacramento Chapter of the Links Inc. In addition, the Sacramento Business Journal has honored her with a “Women Who Mean Business Award” for her leadership roles throughout the region. Jennings earned her undergraduate degree in urban studies from the University of Maryland and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of San Francisco.
