SPOKANE, Wash. -Spokane Federal Credit Union staffers’ dress down days have helped collect $1,713.88 for Hurricane Katrina victims. With a remodel slated for the credit union, management decided to allow employees to dress casual for two weeks to raise funds for the American Red Cross to benefit Hurricane Katrina victims. To dress casual, staffers could pay by the day, or pay a premium for each week. The fundraiser not only provided a more relaxed feel during the craziness of the main branch’s remodel but served as a reminder of the need of Hurricane Katrina victims.
