ST. LOUIS – Financial services design/build firm NewGround, has recently signed an exclusive, national agreement for the distribution of Consumer Financial News (CFN) to financial institutions through NewGround’s Digital Signage Network. Produced by StagePost Studios, Consumer Financial News is a digital sales tool used to engage members through television in financial institutions. According to DFN Creator and StagePose Studios President Lynn Bennett, CFN is the first and only television news network specifically designed for financial institutions. The style and format of CFN’s programming are similar to cable news, but focuses on consumer interests and needs like saving, earning, managing and protecting financial assets. Infomercial content advertising products and services of the financial institutions is interwoven within the 30-second financial news reports. “Introducing CFN is our latest innovation in an industry marked by rapid change,” said Jim Kueneke, senior vice president of retail media and marketing, NewGround. The proprietary offering can only be obtained through NewGround and the move is designed to help build on NewGround’s emphasis on helping financial institutions successfully retail through building design, merchandising and brand development. “CFN represents a significant departure from standard digital signage products, and brings the industry to a new level in terms of its ability to attract and motivate customers. It takes the best of the television format and turns it into a powerful video sales tool designed to give customers news they can use that will help them in their daily lives. This information, accompanied by network quality custom television commercials, actively engages people using a media they relate to-television,” said Kueneke.
