AUSTIN, Texas – Greater TEXAS Federal Credit Union made its Bastrop branch grand opening a party members and area residents won't forget. In addition to the standard ribbon cutting, the celebration boasted live music from local favorite Texas Renegade Band. In addition, young and young at heart members were able to spend the afternoon playing in a bounce house. On-site providing a barbeque lunch was local radio station KVET. "We love creating fun for our members and staff and this grand opening celebration is definitely evidence of just that," said GTFCU Marketing Director Bridget Brandt. Among its amenities designed for member convenience the new facility boasts three new secure teller systems, six drive-thru lanes including extra wide truck lanes and safety deposit boxes. "The Bastrop community has welcomed us with open arms and we are honored to be able to give the community a branch where they can come in and complete every aspect of their financial needs," said GTFCU Bastrop Branch Manager Jason Goodman. "As the community continues to grow, Greater TEXAS Federal Credit Union plans to continue to be involved in the events and organizations that make this budding community one of Texas' fastest growing and friendliest places to live."
