DULUTH, Ga. – Rick Foley has been appointed to serve on the board for the Credit Union Service Corporation. Foley, president/CEO of $2.6 billion Delta Employees Credit Union, fills the board seat vacated by Mike Mercer, president/CEO of Georgia Credit Union Affiliates, who served on the board for 18 years. Formed in 1987, CUSC is among the industry’s largest shared branching network representing 55% of all national locations and 58% of credit unions participating in shared branching nationwide. “Delta Employees Credit Union has supported CUSC service centers since its inception,” Foley said. “Since we have members nationwide, the Service Center Network provides an excellent delivery channel to serve DECU members. It’s an honor and a pleasure to serve on the CUSC Board of Directors.” Foley joins other directors elected in April to CUSC’s board: Quirin Braam- president/CEO, Journal CU; Marvin Cottom, president/CEO, Weokie CU; Tom Evers, president/CEO, Premier Members FCU; Jim McCormack, president/CEO Pennsylvania CU League; and William Mellin, president/CEO, New York State CU League. CUSC’s Executive Committee consists of: Kris Mecham, president/CEO, Deseret First CU; Gary Wolter, president/CEO, Alabama CU League; Anne Cochran, president/CEO, Louisiana CU League; Rick Pillow, president/CEO, Premier Members FCU; Bill Raker, president/CEO,US Federal CU; and Gary Tuma, president/CEO, Smart First CU. In 2004, Foley was promoted to the top spot at DECU. Prior to his promotion, he served as the credit union’s executive vice president of administration and chief financial officer.
