BRANDON, Fla. -MacDill Federal Credit Union (MFCU) is hoping its latest promotion "Get a Loan, Get a Cruise" is smooth sailing. The summer loan promotion offers members complimentary two-night Caribbean cruise certificates for two with the approval of any term installment loan. "You might say `Get a Loan, Get a Cruise' is our way of making a splash," said MFCU Vice President of Marketing Frank Carter. "It's an exciting offer – exciting for our members and for our employees." A parody of the Gilligan's Island theme song led by MFCU CEO Robert Fisher and senior executives kicked off the official campaign launch. To help get staffers excited about the promotion they too are eligible to win cruise certificates based on the number of closed referrals collected. In addition, all 17 MFCU financial centers are participating in a tropical theme decorating contest. The prize for the winning center is a catered Caribbean lunch served up by the "skipper" (Fisher) and his crew of senior executives. "We believe this campaign has tremendous potential for us," said Carter. "Not only for driving new business, but for reaching beyond our current membership base to promote the values of our credit union to a wider audience.
