Credit Union West, Glendale, Ariz., has opened a new Cactus Road branch to serve the West Valley. Over 100 local Peoria Chamber of Commerce members gathered to watch Peoria City Council member Joan Evans and Credit Union West Chairman Bob Noiseau cut the ribbon to officially open the credit union’s newest branch. The 5,600 square-foot facility is the CU’s largest branch, and is one of two that will open in the next few months. The other branch is currently in its development stages in Surprise. Travis Credit Union, Vacaville, Calif., has recently celebrated the grand opening of its latest Vallejo branch located in a new Alberson’s shopping center. The new full service branch features such amenities as a walk-up ATM and night depository. Towpath Credit Union, Fairlawn, Ohio, has cut the ribbon on its new branch and headquarters. Guests were treated to refreshments, tours, and prizes. Fairlawn Mayor Bill Roth was the Guest of Honor and cut the grand opening ribbon. PWCampbell, a Pittsburgh design/build firm has secured two new contracts for the following financial institutions located throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region: Linden FCU in New Jersey and Taleris Credit Union in Ohio. Wy-South Federal Credit Union, Wyandotte, Mich., has celebrated the grand opening of its Flat Rock branch. The new office is a full service location complete with member service representatives, a loan department, and drive-up ATM. Festivities included food, raffles, gifts, and a ribbon cutting ceremony with Flat Rock Mayor Richard Jones. Valley Credit Union, San Jose, Calif., has cut the ribbon on its newest full-service branch in Santa Clara. Located adjacent to Starbucks Coffee, the modern branch, which emphasizes round-the-clock convenience has been designed to reflect the CU’s approach to financial services and meeting its members’ needs. Mid-Atlantic Federal Credit Union, Germantown, Md., has celebrated the re-opening of its remodeled and expanded its Rockville branch.The grand re-opening week was filled with specials including special auto loan rates, 90 days no payments on auto loans, and the first box of checks free for any new checking account. In addition, a special grand prize of a PlayStation Portable was awarded at the end of the event. MAFCU provided refreshments including hot dogs and popcorn, and distributed gifts to everyone throughout the grand re-opening celebration. Bull’s Eye Credit Union, Stevens Point, Wis., has tapped Milwaukee-based design/build firm La Macchia Group to design a new full-service 3,600 square-foot facility. The new branch will feature a curved roof and glass entrance, which is consistent with the design of the credit union’s other location. WCCU Credit Union, Reedsburg, Wis., has recently opened a new branch here . Designed by La Macchia Group, LLC, the 3,664 square-foot facility features two drive-up lanes with an ATM on the outbound lane to accommodate members. WCCU Credit Union has four locations throughout Wisconsin, with its headquarters in Westby. Money One Federal Credit Union, Largo, Md. has broken ground for its members’ new home. The innovative 17,000 square-foot building will include a drive up window, expanded member parking and extended hours. The project is slated to be completed by June 2006. Nassau Educators Federal Credit Union, Westbury, N.Y., has opened its sixth branch. The facility will offer the latest in time saving technology, including a unique teller system that provides added security for both member and teller. The branch is also offering safe-deposit boxes, a first for the credit union. Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union, Poughkeepsie, N.Y. will open a new 3,300 sq. ft. branch in downtown Poughkeepsie during the fourth quarter 2005. The full-service branch will feature 24 hour ATMs and a night drop box for businesses. It is expected that the office will employ ten people. Renovations and hiring are expected to begin immediately.
