SEATTLE – Verity Credit Union Human Resources/Training Director Tina Hall has the distinction of being the only American recipient of the 2005 WOCCU Young Credit Union Professionals (WYCUP) scholarship award. WYCUP is an annual scholarship program, started in 2001 by World Council of Credit Unions, Inc. (WOCCU) to encourage the next generation of leaders to get involved in the international credit union movement. This year’s competition included 25 nominees from six countries. Five winners were awarded scholarships to attend next year’s World Credit Union Conference in Dublin, Ireland. Hall was singled out for her dedication and achievements. Hall oversees all aspects of recruiting, hiring, training, and retention at Verity CU. In addition, as a development educator she serves as the credit union ambassador and host to industry representatives from all over the world. Hall also established the Credit Union Youth Development Council in Washington in 2000 and was selected as a “Tomorrow’s Leader” winner by the Washington State Credit Union League earlier this year.
