EAST CHICAGO, Ind. – For Advance Financial Federal Credit Union a love of speed has helped spell success for a recent “Moves Fast, Won’t Last” vehicle loan promotion. The promotion, which offered members the chance to win one of four pairs of tickets to view an event at the Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, brought in over $2 million in vehicle loans. To qualify for the ticket drawing, members needed to be approved for a new or refinanced “Great Rate” vehicle loan from AFFCU by June 30th. In addition, recognizing rising gas prices the credit union provided all qualifying members a free $25 gas card. “The fact that our recent Vehicle Loan Promotion was such a huge hit with our members gives us great pride,” said AFFCU President/CEO John Wohadlo. “It’s our pleasure to work hard at creating new and exciting programs to benefit our members.” To spread the word AFFCU promoted the campaign via lobby posters, drive-up banners, statement inserts, newsletter and Web site. AFFCU also credits staff incentives to encourage referrals such as chances to win paid vacation days, cash and gas cards for the campaign’s success. The four lucky winners of the “Moves Fast, Won’t Last” promotion included Christopher Martell, Christine Taulbee, John Rhoten, and Raymond Kunis.
