GREENSBORO, N.C. – Summit Credit Union has gone live with a document management system from Bluepoint Solutions as the Vista, Calif., company continues to add clients in credit union land. “We started out just looking for a COLD archiving system, but quickly realized that COLD is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to document management,” says Summit CEO Sam Whitehurst. He says instead the $90 million CU is moving towards “becoming a true paperless credit union.” Whitehurst says the CU also plans in the future to use Bluepoint software to integrate Check 21-compliant image capture. The company's largest win of late is an agreement with WesCorp, the industry's largest corporate, for Bluepoint software to power IMAGEin, WesCorp's new solution for check imaging and payment settlement.
