BETHPAGE, N.Y.-Over Memorial Day weekend over 350,000 attended the Bethpage Federal Credit Union Air Show at Jones Beach State Park on Long Island, New York. Crowds enjoyed the aeronautic skills of the United States Air Force Thunderbirds. According to New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation Commissioner Bernadette Castro attendance for the event was a record for Jones Beach over Memorial Day. "The 2005 Bethpage Federal Credit Union Air Show was destined for success when the United States Air Force Thunderbirds signed on as featured aerial performers," said Bethpage FCU President/CEO Kirk Kordeleski. "Add to that, the variety and talent of the many aerobatic teams performing over the course of the weekend, the organization by the State's Department of Parks & Recreation, the cooperation of good weather, the spirit of New Yorkers, and an exciting time was guaranteed for all. Bethpage is pleased to continue to represent the aeronautic tradition that is the heritage of Long Island and Bethpage."
