GREENSBORO, N.C. – The North Carolina Credit Union League launched its new Web site May 31 in what the League says "promises to provide North Carolina credit unions with a host of resources to assist them in serving their members." The newly designed Web site at www.ncleague.org is part of an overall communications strategy the NCCUL is implementing this year. As part of that initiative, the League began sending a weekly e-mail update starting in March that features new items from the League and CUs throughout the state. SmartSource Solutions, LLC, a wholly owned CUSO of Constitution Corporate Credit Union, was the design firm behind the new site. "The new site harnesses the power of SmartSource Solutions' customized content management system," said Mike Pennell, executive director of SmartSource Solutions. "This allows NCCUL staff to control much of the content and functionality of the site." The content management system empowers the credit union to update nearly every function and page in the site. The new Web site design makes it easy to find and share information. Included in the design mix are a comprehensive, searchable compliance resource area; an events calendar featuring online registration; a governmental affairs section updating the latest news affecting CUs on the political front; and a complete public relations and marketing section to assist credit unions' public relations efforts.
