EWING, N.J – Credit Union of New Jersey has teamed up with the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission to promote the EZ Pass, an electronic device designed to speed passage through toll plazas. To make it more convenient to sign up for EZ Pass, on June 16 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, EZ Pass will be made available at the credit union's Parkway Avenue branch. Local residents can stop by and sign up for EZ Pass and receive their transponder on-the-spot, rather than ordering the device through the mail. "We are pleased to provide a convenient location for residents to obtain a time-saving device like EZ Pass," said Credit Union of NJ President/CEO, Andrew Jaeger. According to Credit Union of NJ execs providing commuters with all of the tools necessary to make commuting easier is the focus of the partnership. In addition to sending press releases to local newspapers, the credit union will promote the event via the member newsletter and on its Web site. Credit Union of NJ Vice President Sales/Marketing Valerie Metzker says when the Department of Transportation reached out to the credit union for help in getting the transponders into the hands of more commuters -yes was the only answer. "This is a win-win for our members and the community," said Metzger.
