HERSHEY, Pa. – The Pennsylvania Credit Union Association's annual members business meeting held during its annual convention wasn't just about business issues. PCUA used the meeting as the backdrop to unveil a portrait of Pennsylvania Congressman Paul Kanjorski. The oil painting of the Democratic congressman was painted by renowned Pennsylvania artist Helen Crispino. It will hang in the lobby of PCUA's headquarters in Harrisburg. At the portrait unveiling, Kanjorski thanked the PCUA for the honor and then talked about the CURIA bill, encouraging attendees to contact their legislators and urge them to support the measure. Kanjorski is well known as being a friend of credit unions. In addition to being one of two original sponsors of H.R. 1151, the Credit Union Membership Access Act, he most recently sponsored H.R. 2317, the Credit Union Regulatory Improvements Act of 2005, along with Rep. Ed Royce (R-Calif.)
