ST. PAUL, Minn. – Check printer Deluxe has added the second largest CU – State Employees’ CU of N.C. – as a client, a client it lost about 12 years ago. The $12 billion CU has more than one million members. Apparently Deluxe’s presence in North Carolina played a role in the decision. “We appreciate that Deluxe has facilities in Greensboro, N.C., and throughout our agreement, they will support employment in the state,” said Sue Douglas, SVP and COO for the CU. “We anticipate the relationship will have a positive impact on our economy as it offers additional employment for North Carolina workers,” said Jerrie Lattimore, administrator of the North Carolina Credit Union Division of the Commerce Department. SECU was previously with Harland. It’s been with Harland for about 12 years, and prior to that it was actually with Deluxe for about 20 years. The CU puts all its major vendor contracts up for bid every three or four years.
