WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Below are some statistics ranking corporates by ROA and assets, as well as where natural person CUs are putting their investment dollars. Corporates are seeing strong ROA as more get involved with income producing CUSOs. EasCorp tops this list, but the 2% is a bit of an anomaly; it was driven by the sale of the corporate’s popular CUSO, ALM First. In terms of assets, now 17 corporates (including U.S.Central) have more than $1 billion in assets. On the investment front, corporates have about 13% of CUs’ investment dollars. Credit unions still favor agencies with over 40% of their dollars going there. This is interesting given that more corporates than ever claim they can beat most agencies these days.
