Auto Expert Partners with USC CU for Auto Locating, Buying Services

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – USC CU, Los Angeles, has chosen to partner with Auto Expert, Riverside, Calif. to provide its more than 40,000 members auto locating and buying services. That makes 12 credit unions Auto Expert, a CUSO of Altura CU, is partnered with including 11 in Southern California and one in Michigan. Prior to the arrangement with Auto Expert, USC CU operated an in-house auto locating and buying service for its members called Trojan Auto Buying. In a unique aspect of the CU’s relationship with Auto Expert, the company will operate under the same name – Trojan Auto Buying. USC CU President Gary Perez said the CU had decided it wasn’t cost effective to provide members the auto locating and buying service, but it was something the credit union’s members wanted so USC CU decided to continue the service through a partnership with Auto Expert. Last year, Auto Expert delivered nearly 2,100 vehicles with a member satisfaction rating of 96.8%. Those purchases were worth $36.7 million in loans for Auto Expert’s CU partners.
