OXNARD, Calif. – CBC Federal Credit Union is the latest to deploy the Web-based document-management solution from COWWW Software. The $260 million CU (www.cbcfcu.org) says it will use the Michigan company’s imaging system and browser-based retrieval package to improve teller service and reduce annual maintenance fees for COLD storage and document imaging, including saving document images in standardized TIFF format. “Writing the transaction receipt directly to the optical system reduces the cost of two-part paper; thermal printers are used which is a less costly medium, document scanning by our staff is eliminated; and the image is immediately available throughout the credit union. The member is served through a more efficient and cost-saving service,” says Jim Susha, vice president of IT for 22,000-member CBC.
