ROCHESTER, N.Y. – ESL Federal Credit Union has announced that the United States Air Force’s Air Demonstration Squadron, The Thunderbirds, will be featured at this year’s ESL International Airshow, slated for June 11-12. This marks the third year that ESL FCU will host the ESL International Airshow. In addition to the Thunderbirds, this year’s event will include military demonstration acts, a heritage flight, and civilian aerobatic acts. The over 100,000 attendees expected at the two-day event will also be treated to numerous displays of military aircraft, civilian aircraft, as well as family entertainment in the Kiddie Kommando Area. The Thunderbirds, stationed at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada haven’t appeared in Rochester since 1993. They will be flying the F-16 aircrafts, which have remained the choice of the Thunderbirds for the last 20 years, making it the longest performance era of any one aircraft. “The ability for area families to attend events like the ESL International Airshow is a key ingredient in helping make the Rochester area such a special place to live,” said ESL CEO Dave Fiedler. “In addition, as the naming sponsor, we are particularly excited to see that a portion of the net proceeds will go to support such a deserving organization as the Veterans Outreach Center.”
