Bayer Federal Credit Union, Elkhart, Ind., former board director Margaret Michiels has died at the age of 94. Michiels served on the board of Michiana Federal Credit Union from 1956 through 1999 and served as board president for nearly half those years. She retired from service following Michiana FCU's merger with Bayer FCU in 1999. In addition to her credit union involvement, she was active in many other community organizations. As a tribute to Michiels' dedication to the credit union movement, Bayer FCU has made a $2,500 donation to the Indiana Credit Union Foundation in her name.
