WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -They may have been on opposite sides of the field but both Scranton, Pennsylvania-based Tobyhanna Army Depot Federal credit union and Massachusetts-based Saugus Federal Credit Union scored big when it came to their SuperBowl promotions. For TADFCU, although their football team lost, the promotion itself was a hit with some 98 certificates opened bringing in $1,183,550.83. As a grand finale to the "Eagles Super Bowl Share/IRA Certificate promotion credit union tailgate parties complete with Eagles paraphernalia filled each TADFCU branch. Saugus FCU not only picked the SuperBowl champion Patriots but also managed to raise money for the Credit Union of Massachusetts Kids at Heart program. A total of $1,500 was donated to the program from proceeds of its recent SuperBowl raffle. In addition, one grand prizewinner walked away with a barrel filled with Patriots gear and a cold cut platter from local J&M Italian Specialties of Saugus.
