POTTSTOWN, Pa. – Diamond Credit Union's latest branch in Spring Township has members walking away in awe. The 4,700 square foot branch marries high-tech and high-touch in a retail environment that according to Diamond CU Vice President of Marketing Todd Rothenberger provides a unique financial services experience particularly in this area. "This area contains over 50% of our membership and when we started to think about how a facility should look in the future we wanted to have a high touch retail setting," said Rothenberger. "We wanted the technology to help the financial service consultants offer financial solutions customized to the needs of the individual member. You can have a beautiful branch but really it's the staff who have done an outstanding job of bringing it to life." One of the elements to promote members service and increase teller productivity is the Integrated Teller Center. Designed by Lake Dallas, Texas based ComCo Systems Inc. the Integrated Teller Center consists of an interactive, two-way video kiosk that a member uses to speak with a teller who is located in a private, secure area. According to Rothenberger the process of a routine transaction not only becomes more efficient and consumer friendly but since members can view national news or Diamond advertisements on the video kiosk it helps decrease the member's perceived wait time. In addition to the Teller Center, the branch features a greeting area, coin counting machine, a display area to showcase vehicles/motorcycles of its indirect lending partners, Internet caf and an instant-issue debit card kiosk, which allows a member to instantly receive a debit card with their name and photo. "This is the most unique financial services experience in the marketplace. We're taking service to a higher level," said Diamond CU President/CEO John M. Faust. "Cutting-edge technology combined with a unique service structure allows Diamond to create a friendly, financial services platform second to none in our region." Rothenberger adds that since the branch opened its doors in December 2004 member reaction has been very positive.
