CHARLOTTE, N.C. – With these ads Charlotte Metro Credit Union is hoping a disguise will help to get some kids' attention. The quirky awareness campaign focuses on how any teen or child can take advantage of credit unions-even bankers' kids. The "Next Generation" ads start running this month in My School Rocks (www.myschoolrocks.com), Parent/Teacher Quarterly and Charlotte Parent Magazine. Kids ads will be featured in the four-color magazine My School Rocks and tabloid-sized Parent/Teacher Quarterly, which head home with some 60,000 area elementary school students via "bookbag express" and are included in Chamber and real estate relocation/welcome kits. Ads with a teen slant will be found in the monthly four-color tabloid size Charlotte Parent Magazine, which is in every sports center, karate school, daycare and YMCA in greater Charlotte. The spots are also slated to run in the "summer camps" edition of the Charlotte Observer and smaller local papers around Charlotte. In branch promotions include posters and tee shirts.
