Alaska USA Federal Credit Union, Anchorage, has opened a new retail branch in Alaska and two in Washington, bringing its total number of branches to 45. The three new branches are open seven days a week. The newest Alaska branch is located in Anchorage in the Muldoon Fred Meyer store and the two new Washington branches are located inside Safeway stores. Member One Federal Credit Union, Roanoke, Va., has celebrated the grand opening of its first Christiansburg branch. The new facility features a two lane drive-thru, a 24/7 ATM, spacious lobby area and more. Member One has 58,000 members, $318 million in assets, 13 branches and a national ATM network. Old Hickory Credit Union, Tenn., has held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new Greenbrier branch. Scheduled to be completed in spring of 2005, Old Hickory’s new branch is modeled after The Hermitage, home of President Andrew Jackson. Crossroads Architecture created the plans for the location from a design by Bob Crain of Old Hickory CU. The new facility will offer full lobby service and will have three drive-up windows and a drive-up ATM. MacDill Federal Credit Union, Tampa, has purchased a 1.46-acre site in South Tampa. Construction of the newest branch is set to begin in February 2005 with a tentative opening scheduled for 4th quarter of 2005. The 6,000-square-foot antique brick building will have five drive-through lanes, including one with an ATM, and have approximately 15 employees. Educational Employees Credit Union, Fresno, Calif., has opened its eleventh branch. A ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening celebration were recently held. The new branch is the sixth EECU location in Fresno, with 11 total branches throughout the Valley. The full-service branch is staffed with nine employees and features a free-standing ATM. Family First Credit Union, Saginaw, Mich., has recently celebrated the re-opening of its Saginaw branch. The remodeled facility features an open floor plan, bright lighting and an atrium style ceiling with plenty of windows.
