NEW LONDON, Wis.-Wolf River Credit Union will merge with Community First Credit Union as of March 1, according to a report in Wisconsin’s The Post-Crescent. Tiny Wolf River is based in New London, Wis. with $3.8 million in assets and less than 2,000 members. The $660 million Community First is based in Appleton, currently serving 63,282 members, NCUA data showed. “We’ll see a lot of positive changes,” Community First President and CEO Cathie Tierney stated. “The entire staff will be staying on board. They’re high-quality people.” In fact, she said they plan on hiring a handful more employees, as well as expanded hours and services at what will become Community First’s 12th full-service branch.
