LOS ANGELES-John Bryant, founder, chairman, and CEO of Operation Hope, Inc., was selected along with 237 other young leaders around the world to participate in The Forum of Young Global Leaders. The forum, comprised of leaders under 40, will work closely with the World Economic Forum, imparting their knowledge and energy for the next five years to work toward a better future. The final 237 were drawn from 8,000 candidates. Operation HOPE recently partnered with NCUA for financial education. The organization is America's first nonprofit social investment bank and a national provider of financial literacy and economic empowerment programs. Through ongoing collaborations and long-term partnerships with leading government, private sector, and community interests, Operation HOPE works to bring self-sufficiency and a sustained spirit of revitalization to inner-city communities. "I am humbled and honored to serve as a member of the Young Global leaders and as such, I will work to expand the reach of Operation HOPE, both nationally and internationally," Bryant said. "We believe the 21st century will continue to be defined, in many ways, as an economic era, and that the work we are doing here is a once in lifetime opportunity to make real and sustaining change."
