TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The $4.5 billion Suncoast Schools FCU has reached an ATM milestone, running over one million ATM transactions per month through the Credit Union 24 EFT network, the network has announced. Executives with the CU and Credit Union 24 were careful to praise each other’s efforts in reaching the milestone. “The fact that we chose to route millions of transactions through Credit Union 24 says a lot about the network,” said Maria Garcia, Suncoast’s senior vice president of automated services. “With literally hundreds of thousands of POS locations across the country and more than 6,500 ATMs in Florida alone, Credit Union 24 offers our member cardholders exceptional access and convenience.” “We are thrilled that Suncoast Schools – a long-time Credit Union 24 shareholder – is the first Credit Union 24 network participant to break the one million transaction-per-month threshold,” said Credit Union 24 CEO Jim Park. “Much of that success is a direct result of Suncoast’s innovation and ambition in broadening their cardholder base and their members’ points of access. We know Suncoast will continue that outstanding service to their membership, and hope the two-million mark is right around the corner.” After its lapsed merger proposal with Concord in 2003, Credit Union 24 has embarked on an energetic growth and expansion program which has seen it the network grow through a variety of different industry partnerships.
