WARNER ROBINS, Ga. – Robins Federal Credit Union wants to help ensure credit unions are prepared, when natural disasters such as hurricanes or tornados strike, through its disaster recovery CUSO. Developed through Robins FCU's CUSO, DR-1 is being touted as a low-cost disaster recovery provider for credit unions with Symitar systems. Based 90 minutes south of Atlanta, DR-1 uses all IBM equipment with independent power and air conditioning systems. DR-1 offers two plans- the Primary Plan includes 24/7 disaster recovery, two tests per year and disaster recovery consulting. The secondary plan is specifically designed for those that are under contract with another disaster recovery vendor and offers 24/7 disaster recovery and consulting. Testing can be added for a per test fee. DR-1 also offers consulting to help credit unions prepare proper policies and NCUA audits. More information about DR-1 can be found on www.dr-1.org/.
